After extensive research and development, the first of our 2nd Edition of Project 248 is starting to take shape. One of the first parts we wanted to perfect was the wolf’s teeth gearing which will be visible through a special aperture in the top plate of the movement. As restorers, we’ve always associated wolf’s teeth with fine watchmaking. Having historically been used by the likes of Patek Philippe and Louis-Benjamin Audemars, the tooth form has now been taken up by some of our favourite contemporary independent watchmakers such as Simon Brette and Kari Voutilainen.
