Inaugural 'Women in Watches' Panel
Dr. Rebecca Struthers was invited to be a panellist at the inaugural Women in Watches event, hosted by WatchPro in London.
Held at the art’otel Battersea Power Station ahead of International Women’s Day, the event marked the launch of a new annual initiative designed to celebrate and support the growing influence of women across the global watch industry.
Rebecca joined the morning’s first panel, "Leadership and Representation," alongside fellow industry leaders Serena Gough (Board Director at Laings) and Sarah Baumann (COO of Christopher Ward). Chaired by WatchPro Editor May Garland, the discussion explored career pathways, the importance of visibility at senior levels, and how the industry can build more diverse and supportive leadership teams for the future.
The event brought together a wonderful community of brand executives, retailers, and media professionals to discuss the cultural and commercial impact of women in horology. It was an honour for Rebecca to represent the independent watchmaking sector in such an important conversation.
